Life
In April, Maya Angelou was interviewed by Oprah on her 70+ birthday.Oprah asked her what she thought of growing older.
And, there on television, she said it was "exciting." Regarding body
changes, she said there were many, occurring every day...like her breasts.
They seem to be in a race to see which will reach her waist, first.
The audience laughed so hard they cried. She is such a simple and honest
woman, with so much wisdom in her words!
Maya Angelou said this:
"I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life
does go on, and it will be better tomorrow."

The big picture
Details, details, everyone wants details...teachers want details in essays, experiments; bla bla, CAT lecturers want specifics in students reports and write-ups; bosses want details in reports and procedures... details details...
Let's just do an experiment here. What do you see below??
Exactly, a tiny black speck (dot). My.. you do have good eyes for details. It is good and commendable to have such good 'eyes' for details, however small it may be but sometime when we are so FOCUSED on the small minute details that we often miss the big picture.
I used to liken the white space to a person's life, white: blameless and pure. BUT whenever one commits a sin, a stain appears in his life, in this case a black dot. Some times we are so carried away by focusing on the wrong object and missed the whole point. Which is more important the person's life or the one sin? Sad to say, ppl always tend to remember the WRONG things that others did.
However, I am glad and thankful that Our Heavenly Father remembers all the RIGHT things that we do. All our wrongs, He will remove as He hath promised provided that As long as we confess our wrongs to Him, He will forgive us.
I John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just, and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
(Isaiah 1:18 KJVR) Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Be glad and thankful that in Our Lord's eyes , we shall be white as snow.

Do You Want What Others Have?
It's not always easy to be content.

If you've ever enviously eyed your friend's new video iPod or been jealous of someone's prom date, then you know that it's not always easy to follow the Bible's command not to covet (Exodus 20:17). Take this quiz to find out if you're pretty content with what you have, or if this area of your life needs work.
1. You make the A-B honor roll, but your best friend consistently makes the A honor roll. You know he'll get an academic achievement award at the final assembly. You:
A. Are glad for him. He studies hard, and he deserves it.
B. Are glad for him and are getting tutored so you can bring your grades up.
C. Wish you'd get it, even though you didn't put as much effort into your schoolwork as you could have.
D. Hope he doesn't get it. That way, you won't have to hear about how great he feels.
2. Your neighbor's parents gave her a used car. You're still riding your bike. You:
A. Gripe continually to your parents about how unfair life is.

B. Wonder how all the snotty rich kids who don't have to work will survive roughing it over in Africa.

And serve others in need, or teach someone a skill you have. That way, you'll be reminded that you have something to give to others.
23-30 points: You're happy for those who get something you don't have or something that you really want. You've learned that the secret to contentment is to be thankful for what you have. Like Paul, you've "learned the secret of being content in any and every situation" (Philippians 4:12). Grow in that contentment by sharing what you have with others. Consider sponsoring a child through World Vision or Compassion International. One of the best ways to stay content is to share.

PUZZLE ..
The aim is to get everyone on the other side of the river, and the following rules apply:
1. Only 2 people allowed on the raft,
2. Cop can't leave Thief alone with others,
3. Mom can't be with boys without Dad,
4. Dad can't be with girls without Mom,
5. Children alone can't operate the raft.
Initially the puzzle seems daunting with a large number of possible moves, however there is in fact very little choice as the wrong moves prevent any further moves. There is only one possible solution produced with the least number of moves. Give it a try before checking out the comments for a hint and the solution.

WoW!!! how time flies.. This group of students is making speedy progress in their P2. Amazing how we just covered all the syllabus in such a short time. Laugh break - What is love?
A group of children were asked the question "What is love?" Here are some of their replies. Which do you think were the best ones?

"Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne, and they go out and smell each other." Karl (age 5).
"Love is when you tell a boy you like his shirt, and then he wears it every day." Noelle (7).
"Love is when you go out and give someone most of your French fries, without making them give you any of theirs." Chrissy (6).
(There is a lot of truth in that because if you love someone, that means you want the very best for them. You want good things to happen to them, even more than you want good things to happen to yourself. So if you give someone most of your French fries, without asking for anything in return, that is an expression of your love).
"Love is when mummy gives daddy the best part of the chicken." Elaine (5).
(Another expression of love. 'Mummy' is putting 'Daddy's' needs before her own. Jesus told us to love others as we love ourselves. Everyone loves themselves. Do you hit yourself, lie to yourself, or steal from yourself? No, of course not! You all treat yourselves well. If you are thirsty, do you say "Oh I can't be bothered giving you a drink right now" ? No, you just give yourself a drink. In the same way that we are good to ourselves, we should be just as good to others).

(A good answer. It is easy to be nice to people who are being nice to you, but very hard to be nice to those who are being nasty to you. But Jesus told us to "Love your enemies." Jesus wants us to be nice to everyone, even to those who are not nice back to us).
"There are two kinds of love, our love and God's love. But God made them both." Jenny (8).
(I think his is probably the best answer. The difference between human love and God's love is that human love is often conditional on the other person loving us back, whereas God's love is unconditional. Suppose you like someone, so start being good to them. If they are nice to you in return, you will carry on being nice to them - wonderful. But if that person is nasty to you in return, do you carry on being nice to them? Probably not. You probably won't want anything to do with that person anymore, or you may even start being nasty to them yourself. God's love is not like that. God's love is unconditional. He loves us because "God is love." He loves us even if we are nasty to others, Ignore Him, or even reject Him. These things all make God sad, but there is nothing anyone could possibly do that would ever make Him stop loving them. He always desires the very best for us).
