This is in response to the post http://i-am-ezra.blogspot.com/2011/07/accounting-in-life.html hahaha.. the way it is written, it is rather interesting.

As for me, I totally agreed that

Marriage = Covenant = TANGIBLE and intangible assets

ALL kids = investments (time, money, efforts etc etc)  It all depends on how much one put in.  As Eric Ling always says output = input, AND i can guarantee that if one invest time, effort and $$ right in this commodity..the benefits/rewards far weighs the inout upon maturity.

As with all investments, value fluctuates with market AND one has to be patient for the maturity period is not up to us to decide...cash in too fast, we may be disappointed.

till then, ta-da..

Day 20 & 21 FLU & RIT

Vivien meet Flu!  Flu be gentle... hahahaha... An FB comment.  Yes i am still down with flu but the funny thing is my nose doesn't run and i have a kinda funny feeling in the cavity between my eyes, nose and brain... ermmm don't know the term ...  any way ... sigh

Hahaha... was telling everyone i retired but i believe God has other plans for me.  Went to RIT and had my first lecture with a group of beautiful students there.  They are  polite and good mannered, creating a very conducive environment for study.  i Enjoyed teaching them too.  scroll further down to have a peek at them....

Diligent too, don't you think so?  Today is Valentine's day and yet no one was absent!

Day 15-19 recycled book from A4 paper and angpow packet

My head is heavy, my nose feels funny and my voice left me (a month ago).. croaking like a

Make this from recycled materials... 2 A4 (printed on one page) and an ang pow packet and ribbon. Not sure what to use it for though.

How to lead worship in the Children Celebration tomorrow.. i have no idea... guess will just have to crock..

Day 7 - Day 14 7-in-1

Wow!!!1 That's like a total 7 days AWOL!!! hahahaha... I was busy... very very busy...  and i am sorry i fall short of my own challenge.  Yet, this will not be an excuse for me not to craft or cook.

 Welcome to my home... The whole set-up cost less that RM40.00.  Things are cheap if you know where to hunt for them.

  

Family reunion dinner @MIL .  This is Ms Flies Swatter.. she has been assigned to make sure that all dishes are 'clean' and not fly-polluted.  All the dishes are home-cooked.

Dish: Roasted pork belly... I am rather satisfied with the result of this dish.  Got the meat at 4am..yupe AM and it took 1hr 15 minutes to roast.  The skin is crunchy and the meat tender and succulent too. Yum..yum..

This is the traditional Kwang Ning "sour duck" dish .  Cooked with lots of leek, ginger and fermented beans.  Very appetising.  ♥ it!!

Spring rolls.. lean meat , water chestnuts, prawn .. my SIL made this dish.  Her specialty.

Broccoli with abalone and top shell. 

This one is my favourite for the night.  "drunken prawns" .  Absolutely delicious.

Humble dishes .... the time spent was wonderfully and MIL was very very happy and pleased that night.  After a few shots of 'drink' around the table, she brought us down the memory lane with hilarious stories of my dear hubby.  It brought tears to her eyes and wide smiles to my 3 children... aha!! so Daddy was like this and that during his childhood.

 A time to remember. A time to cherish.

CNY First Day was hectic too.  Roast lamb leg, potato salad, roast pork to be prepared and cooked for lunch at my mum's place.  We are expecting 5 families for lunch and after breakfast at MIL's place, we took off to mum's.  I am sorry there are no pictures.  Too caught up with the cooking....

Looking back, i could not help but realised that we need to spend more time with our loved ones especially our aged parents.  We had a good time together and looked forward to more.

Day 6 Baking all the way...

 

Baking all day .. and the final product.  45-48pcs per container.  Will be gift-ing them to my relatives and friends.

Today is Sunday and ...........

Sunday School is on.  Made a simple cupcake to celebrate their 2nd birth.  But the ones made by the children are 'yummier'... check it for yourself..

MADE my second batch of pineapple tarts.. this time IT IS A SUCCESS!!!!! woohoo!!!!! Creamier texture and delightful.. melts in the mouth.  Will be baking whole day tomorrow.  CNY is just round the corner !!!!

Gotta sleep and rise early tomorrow today.  Have a good rest people.  God bless!!

Day 4. An ambitious day !!!

Today being saturday, i had a long day ahead of me.  Made myself a hanger for my earrings.  Nothing extra-ordinary, just practical.

This is where i keep all my earrings, tangled up and ... well, i can imagine your expression.. XD

So, i decided to put some order into my life. I organized them.  Voila!!!

 Now, i don't 'scramble the earrings around...looking/hunting for the other matching piece, all well displayed and within reach.

9.30am

Went to the wet market to hunt for pineapples and bought 2 as the recipe required.  Yupe yupe yupe.. gonna make pineapple tarts today.  Managed to get the pineapples and happily went home to prepare the pineapple jam for filling.

Boy, I did not know it was rather a test of patience , cooking the pineapple over a slow fire until it is jam-like.

Left the whole thing to cool down before i prepare the pastry.

Doing this for the first time, i guess i can say good job! but i don't quite like the taste.  Not really like the ones my mum made.   Will defintely get her recipe and try again.

This is after baking...  The texture is good but is rather bland..  Definitely gonna get mom's recipe.... and will try again... afterall, I still have a lot of left-over jam.

That's all for today/tonight.  Eyes are blurry now... gotta go have a hot hot shower and then jump into my cozy cozy bed.  Till we meet again tomorrow.
