Day 2 Pound Fruit Cake

I have decided to try baking today and hunt for a very simple and easy recipe.  It only uses 6 ingredients. Eggs, flour, butter, sugar, baking powder and dried fruit.

But I am puzzled with the hole in the cake..... any advice.  Just for the fun, i sprinkled 2 tablespoon of whiskey on top of the cake .  Sampling will be done by Aaron.
